I think I've been there!
To explain the title, it's a forest of mountains, not a forest in the mountains.
Looks like it could be fairly smooth peaks with lots of clumps of evergreen trees on top!
About as jagged as it gets.
One lone peak (large displacement close to max on first iteration).
Looks like my first displacement was pretty close to the max (200px).
Fairly low reduction equals smooth surfaces (no jagged peaks).
Reminds me of background paintings done for Marvin the Martian cartoons.
